Andy Fischer Wright, MA has worked in the field of higher education for the past five years, and has developed skills applicable to careers in writing, editing, teaching, training, and project management. Andy lives in northern New Mexico, where everything is a little brighter.

Andy is also a doctoral candidate in the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin, where he teaches and writes on the collision between everyday life and communications technology in order to interrogate systems that are either full or devoid of friction from a critical cultural studies perspective.

Andy completed his Master’s thesis on the sociocultural ramifications of push notifications in May 2020, and graduated from Pitzer College in May 2016 as a double major with Honors in Media Studies and English & World Literature.
